Welcome from the Head of School
Welcome to King's Web site. I hope that you find it both interesting and informative. The site is intended to be helpful to students, parents, trustees, faculty, graduates, and prospective students.

The news, information, and contacts that are presented on this site should help you learn more about the School and determine where to find additional information. If you are a parent or student thinking of applying to King Low Heywood Thomas, this is a great place to learn about us before calling our Admission Office to arrange a formal visit. If you are a current parent who needs to check an athletic or a vacation schedule, you will also find that information here. If you are a graduate of the School, I hope you will take the time to browse through this site and gain an understanding of where the School is today. For members of our current community, KingNet is a wonderful resource, which I hope that you will access and use on a regular basis. The site is able to provide a variety of customized communications.

I encourage everyone who is visiting this site for the first time to look closely at our Mission. This Mission is the most important policy statement of the School. A thoughtful reading of this Mission will give you a feel for the character of our School.

This is truly a special school. The breadth of program, the academic challenge, and the strength of community all serve our students well. We are a school for talented, motivated, and able students - individuals that graduate and matriculate at the finest colleges and universities in the country. Our great strength is, that for each of these students, we are able to individualize in a manner that brings out the best in them - builds on their strengths and addresses their challenges. Our faculty is attuned to the needs of each student and our parents are contributing partners in the education of their children. Our trustees are committed to quality strategic planning that will ensure the future development and strength of the School. Our graduates share a rich and unique history, a history that you can review on this Web site.

I hope that you enjoy our Web site, and that it provides you with the information you are seeking. If you need something that is not on this site, please do not hesitate to be in touch with the School directly.

Thank you,

Thomas B. Main
